Devastator Squad

This is my Mentor Legion Devastator Squad, i added a few bits from an old RTB01 sprue, plus pistols and ammo pouches from my bitz box. In all of my squads i am planning to have at least two troopers with extended magazines. I have had this squad for about eight years, the reason i have been so slow in getting round to finishing this squad was, Because like with so many of my projects,it gets put on the back burner when a new cooler one jumps into my head. But not any more! i have a made a project order list. This Squad is one of the old hybrid types. I am not a big fan of hybrid models, i am glad that you can't get them anymore.



I was lucky to have a mate give me some extra devastator models. 2x lascannon,2x heavy bolter and 2x plasma cannon guys. So now i am going to switch the missile launchers from my tactical Squads with lascannons. This will allow me to create a missile launcher Devastator Squad.The plasma cannon guys i will be doing soon, so i will be in keeping with the high tech nature of the Mentors.

Tactical Squad

I have finally finished my second Tactical Squad, for some reason this squad has taken me a long time to complete. I magnetizes the Sergeants left arm and shoulder pad, so i could swap from a chainsword to a powerfist and still keep the veteran shoulder pad. The special weapon trooper is magnetizes as well, so i can swap weapons depending on the points.





I am happy how the highlights turned out, I am getting more confident with mixing greens. It really is true, practice makes perfect. I have changed the Company Color for my Mentor Legion army to Red (Third Company) mainly because i have a ton of red decals in my collection so it makes sense to use them up. I think it looks good as well.


I was thinking of buying a cheap stopwatch from the dollar store / pound land, and seeing how long it takes me to finish a Squad?


Next up is a Devastator Squad.

I have returned and i have brought a tactical squad with me.

Just a quick post to get back into the swing of things, i have not given the Mentor Legion the attention they deserve. So i am posting a few pics of my only finished Tactical Squad to start things rolling.
