Combiweapons

photo 6e4f10f4-0a50-42ae-84c7-11a06dc95dbe_zps046cbc26.jpg So i have started to build up my collection of combiweapons. With the Space Marine codex allowing a lot of combiweapons to be taken, i thought it would be nice to have a few more weapon options.  The cost of buying them from the bits stores is quite high so i have started making my own. Next up will be tutorial on doing a cheap combiplasma. photo IMAG0418_zpsabce0b3a.jpg

Titanfall

http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/84/Titanfall_box_art.jpg I know i am a bit behind with making a comment about this up and coming game but after just seeing the kit bash video i thought it was only right i say how i feel. I am really looking forward to the release of this game. So why am i so excited well you have a first person shooter (good) it is set in the future (good) you can control a big kick ass mecha (excellent). The only downside is that Titanfall is an Xbox and PC exclusive. But A slip of the tongue by EA boss Frank Gibeau may have given away that Titanfall is only a timed exclusive, as rumours increase of a PS4 version. SWEET!!!!!!!

Epic Space Wolves Thunderhawk

This is my Epic Mk1 Thunderhawk also know as the thunderbrick.  I have to say i have a soft spot for the Mk1, i don't really know why, i just do. To look at it, it is not a very attractive model, and aerodynamically it sucks.  Maybe that's it, it is so ugly that you can't help but like it.

I find it funny when i am looking at the storm eagle and storm raven that there is more than a passing resemblance with the good old MK1.
I was luck when i bought some Epic stuff from ebay the cool seller not only sent my item but also some imperial dreadnought claws and weapons! thank you very much.

The Mk1 is the only epic model i can think off that didn't have a cockpit. I never understood that.
maybe it was meant to be some kind of drone or something? anyway i made it one with some greenstuff. Not bad really as it was my first attempt at using greenstuff other than as filler.

Painting it was a lot of fun, i used blue grey as a base coat, then i mixed space wolve grey in as the first stage highlight them pure space wolve grey as the final highlight on all raised areas. I tried for the first time something a bit different and had a go at engine glow. I think it turned out ok but it would have looked a lot better if it was red or orange. "Next time Gadget"

The Lord Inquisitor

I have just discovered this thanks to someone putting it on their blog(thank you) and i Have to say how Impressive it is. I feel the need to share with everyone because it is that Fraking Awesome! you will not be disappointed. If you liked the CGI in the Ultramarines movie then you will fill your pants over this.

The most amazing part is that it has been done by such a small group of fans in there spare time. I Urge all Warhammer 40,000 fans to watch this.
Like some others have said the voice overs need a bit of work but apart from that is Rocks. The icing on the cake is that Gamesworkshop know about it and like it! so hopefully we wont have another Damnatus incident.

So take a look at the YouTube videos and if you want to subscribe to them the more support the better, i have also subscribed to the Facebook page just because i think it deserves the attention.

Enjoy

6mm Mentor Legion

This is the first completed Squad, from my up and coming Mentor Legion Battle company for Epic Armageddon. I already have a good size Space wolves army, but i thought a Mentor Legion addition couldn't hurt.

Why Epic you may ask? well just because really. I am still a big fan of Warhammer 40,000 and i still have a lot of my 40k Mentor Legion army to finish, But i also have two good size Epic armies that i haven't done anything with for a few years now.

So i think a switch from 40k's 28mm to 6mm is in order. It is so much fun having a massive army to command! i know you can do it with 40k Apocalypse but i don't have the time or money. Besides it really is not the same, as having that birds eye view of an Epic army.
