Deathwatch Dreadnought

This is my Mentor Legion Dreadnought, I like the idea that some of my army has served as part of the Deathwatch. How cool would it be that the Mentor Legion sent a Dreadnought! they don't do things by half .



I know what some people may say that Dreadnoughts are holy Relics and to valuable to loss. I don't thing that way, in fact i think the opposite. What better way to learn how to fight Xeno scum than with the Deathwatch. The plus side is you have a much better change of survival in a Dreadnought than in power Armour.


On the dreadnoughts return to the chapter, he made the decision to keep the colors of the Deathwatch, in part to Honor the dead that he served with, the other was the fear factor.

Tactical Squad

I have finally finished my second Tactical Squad, for some reason this squad has taken me a long time to complete. I magnetizes the Sergeants left arm and shoulder pad, so i could swap from a chainsword to a powerfist and still keep the veteran shoulder pad. The special weapon trooper is magnetizes as well, so i can swap weapons depending on the points.





I am happy how the highlights turned out, I am getting more confident with mixing greens. It really is true, practice makes perfect. I have changed the Company Color for my Mentor Legion army to Red (Third Company) mainly because i have a ton of red decals in my collection so it makes sense to use them up. I think it looks good as well.


I was thinking of buying a cheap stopwatch from the dollar store / pound land, and seeing how long it takes me to finish a Squad?


Next up is a Devastator Squad.

Mentor Bolters

I thought i would put up a picture of some of the bolter variants my Mentor legion troops are going to be armed with. I remember ages ago i found on the net a picture of loads of Mentor bolters (thanks, who ever you are) they got me thinking about all the different types of bolters the Mentors must have in there armory.



As you can see some are from the SM commander sprue others are from my own conversion corner. all of my army will have the optic sight from the cadian HWT sprue, (my way of showing the target web system) it looks so cool and its in keeping with the tech level of the Chapter. Plus all my bolt pistols will have extended mags. I am currently working on a combi-meltagun from plastic tubing, watch this space. But until then, have a flaming good time with some hand flamers.

I have returned and i have brought a tactical squad with me.

Just a quick post to get back into the swing of things, i have not given the Mentor Legion the attention they deserve. So i am posting a few pics of my only finished Tactical Squad to start things rolling.

Well i have finally gotten round to finishing most of my RT Terminators it's only taken me 19 years! why so long you ask? it's taken that long because there has always been something else to build or paint. They have gone though a few chapter colours as well from Space Wolves to Blood Angels.
